We've had some deaths in my family recently, one senseless and spectacularly brutal, and one oddly unexpected so I just haven't felt like blogging. I want to be home in Texas with my family right now and I can't and it's hard.
Other than that, everything's going really well. Jamie's on vacation this week studying for his upcoming actuarial exam, I got some really excellent medical news recently and all three girls are happy and fabulous.

Susanne....you were missed at Grandma's funeral, and I know you wanted to be there very badly. It was very brief, but very nice, and I'm sure just what she would have wanted. Steffie and Aunt JoAnne came, and I was SO happy to see them, and so amazed at their strength and grace right now...what happened to them is wordless, mindless, impossible, something I continue to try to wrap my head around, but somehow just can't. Please give your family a hug for me, and one for yourself. I hope we get to see you soon...and I'm updating email addresses, so can I get your current one??
