People have been asking if our blog header is something Jamie or I painted. We do so wish! But, no, it's an Anselm Kiefer (and I need to throw a credit up around here somewhere).
This is the Kiefer painting that first caught my attention.

Oh, Jeez, Anselm Kiefer is probably my favorite contemporary artist (alongside Lucian Freud). Have you ever seen his stuff in person? Some of the paintings are like 12 feet high and just... you pretty much walk into them and it's just the most sublime experience. Maybe I've already told you all this...
