The Halloween party went pretty well and the cupcakes were a hit!

There was an incident with a member of the fine arts committee, Jordan, Sammy and three of their friends. Jamie and I had to run an errand and at that time they were eating lunch in the big walk-in closet and they happened to sit on a quilt that was left in there on the floor. Well, apparently the quilt belonged to a perpetually rude woman we go to church with, and it was art she brought to display in the sanctuary and when she saw them on it, she basically freaked out. She almost pushed them off and they started apologizing and explaining they just thought it was a blanket and she yelled at them until one of their friends started to cry. Well, no, actually, she kept on yelling. One of the moms happened to be there and told her to leave them alone and spent some time with them making sure they knew they didn't need to feel bad, they are good kids and didn't mean to do any harm. I'm planning on speaking to her about the fact that she owes them an apology. I really hate it when people don't treat kids with respect.
But, the kids went on to have a great time, then Sammy and Jordan had a birthday party to go to. When we picked them up from that we took Claudia back to church to go to her OWL class and then we took the littles to get their ears pierced. They look super cute and they're so happy!

This is the girls singing in church this morning. They're all wearing baseball hats because that's what the sermon was about today. Oh, and Halloween costumes. Sorry to be redundant to those who got email photos this evening, but Sammy's a ninja and Jordan's a native american. And yes, that skirt IS way too short and we were in a rush and I didn't catch it (and unfortunately, she had to wear it all day). I swear I never do that and from now on, leggings will be worn under it!

Is Jamie's name Alan?
My full name is Alan James.
I forgot to tell you that the H-ween treats look great. We're going to a party Thursday night and I'm still deciding what to take.
