"Heck, yes!"
"A+++++!!!!1!! Would Marry Again!"
My friend, Jill gave me the idea of making Jamie and diorama so I did and he loved it! When we got married we were low on funds and time and ended up not having the big wedding we had been planning (and not even a big post-elopement party afterwards as we had planned, either, which is where the chihuahas in the picture come in) so I took some of our wedding photos and "reimagined" our wedding, complete with a Polly Cake and Reem Acra dress. Don't I look willowy, there? I guess I've let myself go since the wedding. I also wrapped up a little ipod in wedding paper and inserted it into the diorama scene. That was well-received, too!

Jamie gave me this ring, that I love beyond all reason. Love it! OMG.

So friday night we went to a pottery painting place and started on a platter that has our wedding benediction on it:
May these vows and this marriage be blessed.
May it be like milk and sugar,
this marriage, like wine and halvah.
May this marriage offer fruit and shade
like the date palm.
May this marriage be full of laughter.
May this marriage be a sign of compassion,
a seal of happiness here and hereafter.
May this marriage have a fair face and a good name,
an omen as welcome
as the moon in a clear blue sky.

Then we went out for a very nice dinner. A totally great evening.

I heart the diorama...although it did give me a slight panic attack when I thought about having to make dioramas for school and would remember the night before and thus have some dinosaur figurine thrown in with some grass and then get to school the next day and see other kids' awesome dioramas and be all...what the hell...
ok, that's all I'll say on dioramas :)
Congrats you kids!
Did Jamie really get you that ring? It's beautiful. What are the stones? Cool diorama, btw. Jake loves making those just for fun!
Thanks, y'all!
Jana, he *did* get me that ring! Doesn't he have great taste? The stones are citrines. And Baby Jake is awesome! I want to see some of his dioramas.
