Oh, what a weekend...

Friday morning, Claudia was sick with the flu so she was home on the couch all day. Jamie left work early so he could meet Jordan's bus and by Friday night, Claudia was well enough for soup and popsicles while Sammy, Jordan and I had pizza and Sammy and Jordan watched The Secret of Roan Inish (Jamie went to the Slippery Noodle with friends).

Saturday morning, Claudia seemed fine, just still tired. Jamie and I disinfected everything we could with those lovely Clorox wipe things. Beverly and Walter visited in the afternoon and that was very fun. And everyone seemed fine, including, all of us, but that was not exactly so. Because about 9:00 that night, both Sammy and Jordan started throwing up. And up. And up, again. All night long. Jamie and I did a lot of laundry, washed our hands a million times and disinfected things again. I ran out to get more soup and popsicles and Sprite because at that point we figured, we might be next. Jamie offered to go since it was late and snowy out. Hmmm. Two vomiting children vs. late/cold/snow. Nice try! See you later!

Sunday morning, Jordan and Sammy seemed fine, just still tired. We handed out new toothbrushes for all and Jamie took Claudia to church so she could go on her field trip to help at a homeless shelter. I stayed home with the littles and did more laundry and cooked a roast for Sunday Dinner, even though Sammy and Jordan were still on soup rations, which they ate on the couches while watching a Zack and Cody marathon on Disney.

Sunday night, after laundering and disinfecting and lotioning our chapped hands, Jamie and I went to bed congratulating each other on dodging the Influenza Epidemic of 2007(that's foreshadowing!). But sadly, around 1:30 we both woke up sick, sick, sick. There was even, at one point, passing out. It was so, so bad.

And, of course, Walter and Beverly were exposed and got sick as well. We are so, so sorry.
