"Winter" in Indiana

Ooooh, wintery, no?

NO!

Night before last, in the middle of the night, I checked temperatures and it was 56 degrees in Fishers, Indiana and 52 degrees in Houston, Texas.

Is it global warming? Is it a 100 year weather trend? El Nino? Bill Clinton?

No idea.

I do know an ancient ice shelf recently (well, 2005, but it was just noticed) broke free from the Canadian Artic.

Then there are the posts of Josh at the Eastern US Weather Forum which don't prove a thing, but are very interesting to read. Josh collected and posted "local brevities from the Wyandotte Herald" in southern Michigan about the freakishly warm winters from 1880-1900.

In the immortal words of Sally Brown in A Charlie Brown Christmas.........

"I just want what's coming to me. I just want my fair share."
