Eating Frida Kahlo

My birthday was quite the mixed bag (Annoying parts: too boring to talk about. Good parts: the mister sent me flowers at work and there were lots of cool birthday wishes at facebook and things in the mail!) but tonight was great. Jamie brought home dinner and presents and behold, the coolest cake ever!

a unibrow! (It's the three faces of birthday).

Claudia ended up wanting to save her unibrow frosting, so we are now Eleanor Rigby with a face in a ziplock bag in the freezer. It gave me a start when I opened the freezer door this morning.

My mom and dad sent me, amongst other awesome things, the coolest family cookbook. The back cover tells me that it was written and edited by my mom, the concept and recipe tasting was credited to my dad and the cover design was by Amy and Marinda. So the cover is awesome and it's full of recipes from family and friends of family. How cool is that?
