Veteran's Day Program

I took the afternoon off work yesterday and Jamie took a couple of hours so we could go see Sammy and Jordan sing and Jordan dance at the Veteran's Day Program at their school. They both did a fantastic job and the program was very cool. All the different grades performed songs and poems, the cubscouts presented the colors, there were veterans and the speaker was a two-star general who was a pilot in Viet Nam. Two things I wish they had done differently--the dance club teacher had them performing to the students so their backs were to the veterans and their first snippet of music was Jimmy Hendrix's Star Spangled Banner. We thought that was an inappropriate choice.
