Friday night I rushed home from work, grabbed happy meals from Wendy's, rushed Claudia to her school where she was invited to a concert for one of her friends. Then it was over to Sam and Jordan's school where they were having movie night (Shrek 3). Then Jamie and I went back to pick Claudia up, made a quick stop at Qdoba for guacamole and chips and then back to pick the littles up. Tired!
Saturday I shopped for clothing and Christmas stuff and I don't really know what else we did. Jamie studied and did house stuff. Saturday night I played in a woodwind ensemble for a party downtown. *That* was fun!
Today was church and leaf raking afterwards. Jamie stayed home from church to study for his exam. The little girls had a blast at the leaf raking. Claudia was off elsewhere not raking. Sam said it was her best fall ever! At first there was a lot of leaf throwing, leaf pile jumping and burrowing but then they helped a man they met at the Pride Parade and a boy from their class haul leaves around and had fun doing that, too. That's one thing we love about this church--everyone takes an interest in everyone's kids so the girls get to know lots of different kinds of people and people from all generations. It just makes their world so much bigger. When we got home we made homemade hot cocoa and apple cobbler, Jamie took Sam to her mom's and now he's at jazz band rehearsal.
Here's Sammy being tossed into the leaves:
