when i wouldn't get up in high school my step mom would quietly come and knock on my door, "leah...it's time to get up" This of course didn't work and so my dad came up and slapped the door REALLY loud with the palm of his hand...that had me out of bed and running immediatly :-)

My mom used to put her fist up to her mouth and blow Reveille *really loudly*.
