Wednesday

Well, all three girls report good days yesterday.

At the end of Sam's second day, she reports that she likes her teacher and that she's sometimes funny. She brought home math homework and a super cute card she made for her dad.

Jordan met some new friends at school and on the bus and she also played with Catherine, one of the neighbor kids we met over the summer, at recess. Jordan brought home homework--for me! I had a million forms to complete.

Claudia said her day on a scale from 1 to 10 was a nine and it would have been a ten if they had learned something. She did say that the work looks like it's going to be interesting. She had no problem with her locker or changing classes. She was the last one of her class in to the lunchroom and she somehow ended up sitting at a table full of boys and that's now her assigned seat for the rest of the year. She said she would talk to someone about switching to the girl's table if it didn't work out. Her best friend in Texas is a boy, so it may work just fine. I'm really proud of her for giving it a try and then wanting to solve it herself if it becomes a problem.

And there was a transportation snafu--they placed her on the wrong bus and then let her off at the wrong stop. Claudia said it was a bus for the handicapped and there was a teacher on the bus that sang songs the entire time and that was "annoying". But, they've changed her assignment and she called me from her cell phone to let me know where she was, so now we'll know where she gets off the bus for today.
